Be our trekking companion on a leisurely journey through the lush forest with the magnificent Serra D’Ossa hills as a backdrop and get a close in-depth look at its extraordinary bio-diversity, considered one of the richest in Europe. Apart from all the fauna and flora that live off the cork trees, do not be surprised to come across a wide variety of wildlife, including boar, mongoose, hares, and many species of birds.
This option is ideal for botanists and nature lovers who prefer a more micro-exploration of the cork forest over the wider overview offered by driving tours.
After the walking tour, discover the world of Herdade da Maroteira wines on a guided tour of the estate, where you will visit the winery and tasting room. Then you will enjoy a tasting of Maroteira wines, accompanied by Iberian pork ham and cheese.
At the end of the morning, filled with activities, you will have lunch in a typical Alentejo restaurant, with a traditional menu of the region (starters, Typical Alentejano soup, pork meat dish, dessert and drink/person included),
Adventure yourself on an off-road journey through the Alentejo’s “montado” (cork oak forest)!

Shuttle service
- We do also provide a shuttle service to and from our estate, it is not a standard bookable option since pricing depends on your pick-up and drop-off location, so if you would like to book a shuttle with us, please finalise the booking for your activity first and then get in touch with us to arrange a shuttle!
