Count on a friendly, experienced family team that will share information and curiosities about the observed animal species and rock formations (and also reveal some secrets!). The most sighted cetacean species are the Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis) and the Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus). Although this tour depends on Nature, it is a team effort with other companies equally accredited by the ICNF (Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests), thus maximizing sighting possibilities. For bird enthusiasts, we also spot several marine species such as the Northern Gannet (Morus bassanus), European Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis), and Sandwich Tern (Thalasseus sandvicensis), among others. During the summer months, and if favorable maritime and weather conditions are met, we stop at a bay for those who want to swim in the calm and crystal-clear waters. Know before you go Although we cannot guarantee a 100% encounter with dolphins, even after all efforts to find them in the vast ocean, we can guarantee that we will do our best for a memorable and informative experience. Entry into the caves is conditioned by the state of the sea and consequently, by the bans imposed by the Port Captain of Portimão on the day itself, with no advance prediction possible. If the minimum safety conditions for navigation are NOT guaranteed, the tour will be canceled and rescheduled for another day, or we will issue a full refund. If the minimum safety conditions for navigation are met, BUT entry into the caves is prohibited, we will do a coastal tour.
