After a free time stop in the place, well continue to Batalha to visit the wonderful Batalha Monastery. This Monastery was built by determination of King D. João I in thankfulness to Our Lady for the victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota. Lunch shall be served in the coastal village of Nazaré, a charming and typical fishing village with good regional restaurants and beautiful beaches. This is also the favourite destination for surfers and where the record for the worlds largest wave ever surfed took place. We continue our journey along the coast passing by the beautiful and typical villages of Foz do Arelho and São Martinho do Porto towards the historic village of Óbidos. This village of singular beauty is situated inside ancient medieval ramparts of the XII century. Its narrow streets, the tiles, the white-painted houses and the ramparts are a scenario not to be missed! So, dont forget your camera!
