Why choose just one when you can have it all? On this tour, the Sardinha do Bairro Tuk-Tuk is yours. You will have 6 hours to explore Lisbon without limits! In between, you can (and should) ask your guide for a lunch break. If you don’t have the coordinates of the adventure, we’ll give you a suggestion. For example, combine the centre of Lisbon, including the most modern areas, with the historic district of Belém. We will give you all the explanations and we will talk about the earthquake of 1755 and how this tragedy led to the birth of a new city in the 18th century, symbolised by Baixa Pombalina. We will visit all the most emblematic places in the centre of Lisbon, from Alfama to Mouraria, from the historic centre, on the highest hill in the city, to the chic and vibrant area of Chiado and the bohemian Bairro Alto, the result of the growth of the metropole after the golden age of the Discoveries. Speaking of Discoveries, we will walk along the river to Belém, from where Vasco da Gama set out to discover the sea route to India. Discover the explorer in you and learn how many of the Portuguese great navigators set out to sea, transforming Portugal into the first global empire. Visit the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, and enjoy a Pastel de Belém in its original factory, founded in 1837. We don’t know the recipe of the monks’ famous custard tarts, but we do have a secret: you don’t have to queue to try them.
