Tour Obidos, Nazaré da Lisbona

We will meet at the specified time in Praça dos Restauradores and leave Lisbon behind, heading towards our first destination: Óbidos. Did you know it’s considered the most beautiful medieval town in all of Portugal? Once we arrive, we can observe its castle and defensive walls, and prepare for a tour to admire its main attractions and discover its history with the guide. During the visit, we’ll make our way to the Porta da Vila, the main entrance to Óbidos, which boasts a beautiful frescoed chapel. Next, we’ll head towards the castle, which dominates the town thanks to its hilltop location. The picturesque streets of the area will transport us back to the Middle Ages, a time when Óbidos held great strategic importance. Following the course of the aqueduct that stretches for three kilometers, we’ll then head towards the Óbidos Lagoon, the largest saltwater lagoon in Portugal. It’s an area rich in biodiversity that was crucial for the development of nearby towns and is still a place of great beauty. Back in town, you’ll have the opportunity to stroll along Rua Dereita and stop in local shops to buy a souvenir of local craftsmanship, taste typical gastronomy, or try the famous ginjinha, a delicious cherry liqueur served in chocolate cups. Later, we’ll head to Nazaré, a small fishing village located on the coast. Here, we can contemplate the Nazaré Canyon, very popular among surfers for its huge waves. Walking towards the marina, we can also observe the fishing boats and reach the Sítio at the Subero Viewpoint, to admire a breathtaking view of Nazaré. Photo moment!
