Tour Sintra, Cabo da Roca & Cascais con Palacio da Pena
Join us from Lisbon to the famous city of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and admire its romantic architecture, palaces, historic villas, and numerous royal palaces and castles. Enjoy the flexibility to choose different options based on your interests: include an entrance ticket and a tour of the picturesque Pena Palace on the tour or enjoy additional free time to visit Quinta da Regaleira. We will depart from Praça Dos Restauradores at 9:30 a.m. Our meeting point will be in front of Padaria Portuguesa. We will arrive in Sintra early, after about 25 minutes, depending on traffic, so you can avoid long queues if you decide to join a fully guided tour of the palace to admire its luxurious interiors and lush gardens. Be amazed by the fairytale appearance of the building, the stunning facade, and the extravagant interiors; we recommend including your ticket to the Pena Palace for entry. We will then reach the center of Sintra after the visit and have 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time to explore the city independently. Get recommendations from your guide on the city’s must-see sights and the best restaurant choices to taste delicious traditional Portuguese dishes. For those who wish, you can visit Quinta da Regaleira independently. At 2:30 p.m., we will continue to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, and observe the splendid panorama of the ocean and the waves crashing against the high rocky cliffs. If weather permits, we can stop at Guincho Beach, which has become a popular destination for surfers due to its strong winds and high tides. We will visit Cascais, an elegant seaside resort on the Portuguese Riviera. Take a stroll through the charming city center and don’t miss the luxurious marina, the fascinating fishing port, and a restored fortress that hosts many local artisans. After free time to explore Cascais, you can relax in the air-conditioned vehicle and admire the spectacular views of the Portuguese coast during the return trip to Lisbon.
