Along the way, it is common to see flocks of sheep grazing in the fields, usually accompanied by the gentle sound of their bells. These sheep produce the milk used to make the famous Serra cheese, considered by many to be the best cheese in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to sheep, flocks of goats are also frequently seen. These animals are equally valued in the regional cuisine. The Serra da Estrela goats are robust and well-adapted to the mountainous terrain, contributing to the diversity of local products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another highlight of this tour is the Serra da Estrela dogs. These shepherds are remarkable for their robustness and beauty, perfectly adapted to the harsh weather conditions of the mountains. Their presence is a living testament to the pastoral culture of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next stop is the village of Sabugueiro, the highest inhabited place in Portugal. This village offers a charming glimpse into mountain life with its stone houses and the warm hospitality of the locals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the descent, we will make our first stop at the “Santa,” an impressive sculpture in the natural rock of a mountain cliff. This stop is a perfect opportunity to admire art carved by both nature and human hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we will descend to Covilh\u00e3, a city on the slopes of the mountain. After exploring Covilh\u00e3, we will begin our return to Lisbon, bringing with us unforgettable memories and the serenity provided by Serra da Estrela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
